Youmna Al Hourani is an Analyst with the Utility Services topic of the Business Ready Unit. Since Joining the World Bank in 2019, her analytical work focuses on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of utility services, leveraging data-driven methodologies to identify and address key constraints in the energy sector. Before her current role, Youmna was a Monitoring and Evaluation Project Assistant at the National Democratic Institute in Washington D.C. where she played a role in tracking and enhancing youth inclusion programs in political and economic debates in Iraq and Lebanon. Youmna also served as a Multilateral Cooperation and Outreach Officer at the International Labor Organization IN New York City, where she effectively advanced the ILO’s migration agenda during high-level United Nations meetings. She speaks French and Arabic.
