Feature Team Members

Yixiu Dong is an Analyst with the Business Location topic of the Business Ready Unit. He joined in September 2024, following an internship with the same team. Prior to joining the World Bank, Yixiu conducted macroeconomic analysis for the African Development Bank in Gabon, analyzed development cooperation with middle-income countries for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and performed economic research on African economies for the People’s Bank of China. He holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Policy from Sciences Po Paris, a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from HEC Paris, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Renmin University of China. Yixiu is fluent in Chinese and French and conversant in Burmese.
