Feature Team Members

Ray Yazbek is an Analyst with the Financial Services team of the Bunsiness Ready Unit which is joined in July 2021. He is a certified lawyer registered in Beirut and New York, and has obtained his LL.M. degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC. He is also a professor of Commercial Law at the Law School of Universite Saint Joseph in Beirut. Prior to joining the World Bank, Ray was a legal counsel at the legal department of the Lebanese Central Bank where he tackled the various sides of the banking and financial sector. He has also extensive experience in digital finance and Fintech and has contributed to the development of the startups sector in the region.
