Feature Team Members

Mikhail Kan is an Analyst with the Business Location topic of the Business Ready Unit. He joined the team in April 2024. Before joining the World Bank Group, Mikhail worked at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, dealing with community-led HIV responses monitoring and evaluation. Prior to that, Mikhail worked at the Central Bank of Russia, specializing in international macroeconomics and macroprudential regulations. Before that, he worked on climate change monitoring at the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. Mikhail holds a Master's degree in Economics from Sciences Po (France) and Bocconi University (Italy) and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from MGIMO University (Russia). Mikhail speaks Russian and is conversant in French and Portuguese.
