Mary Isabel Delgado Caceres is an Analyst with the International Trade topic of the Business Ready Unit. She joined the team in August 2024. She started her career as a lawyer and officer at the Peruvian Customs Administration for a decade, before working as a Senior Consultant in the private sector. Furthermore, she served as an ST consultant for the Trade and International Integration Unit of the Development Research Group (DECTI) at the World Bank Group. Mary Isabel holds a Master's degree in International Trade and Commercial Law and Public and Social Policy from Macquarie University, Australia, and is a fellow of Artificial Intelligence for Border Management at Victoria University, Canada. She has presented policy papers on coordinated border management, trade facilitation, smart borders, and digitalization at World Customs Organization conferences in Tunisia (2017) and Belgium (2022), and participated as a panelist at the World Trade Organization's public forum in Switzerland (2024). She speaks Spanish, and she is learning French.
