Feature Team Members

Margherita Melillo is an Analyst with the International Trade topic of the Business Ready Unit. She joined the team in July 2024. Before joining the World Bank Group, Margherita worked at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University and the Max Planck Institute for Procedural Law in Luxembourg. She holds a Ph.D. from the European University Institute, where her thesis was awarded the Antonio Cassese Prize. Margherita has published in several top-ranking peer-reviewed journals and authored a book published by Cambridge University Press. She holds Law Degrees from the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and is admitted to the bar in Italy. She speaks Italian, French, and Spanish, and has a basic understanding of German.
