Feature Team Members

Israel Fierro is an Analyst of the Business Ready Unit. He joined the team in May 2021 and currently works on the Labor topic. Prior to joining the World Bank, Mr. Fierro served as an Economist at the Ministry of Finance of Chile, supporting Chile’s representation with international organizations, and participating in the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements in Latin America and East Asia. During his time in the public sector, he was designated as an Advisor for the Latin-American constituency at the Green Climate Fund of the United Nations and a senior official for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC). Mr. Fierro holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he concentrated on International Finance and Economic Policy. He speaks Spanish.
