Feature Team Members

Doux Baraka is an Analyst with the Centralized Recruitment team of the Business Ready Unit. He joined the team in September 2024. He brings extensive field experience from several African countries, where he conducted impact evaluations of development programs in the private business sector. Prior to joining the B-Ready project, he spent six years as a teaching and research assistant in economics at the University of Namur, Belgium. Doux holds a PhD in Development Economics and an Advanced Master’s in International and Development Economics from the University of Namur, as well as a Master’s degree in Rural Economics from the Catholic University of Bukavu in the DRC. His doctoral research focused on gender inequality in access to resources. He is fluent in French, English, and Kiswahili.
