Christian Biesmans is an Analyst with the Business Location topic of the Business Ready Unit. He joined the team in September 2024. He brings multiple years of experience as a policy analyst at the OECD, covering the business-enabling environment in various countries, in particular to promote innovation. Prior to the OECD, he has worked on developing technical assistance and policy to support SME development at the International Trade Centre in New York. He has furthermore worked as a policy trainee with the European Banking Federation in Brussels and EuroCham in Kuala Lumpur. Christian holds a MSc. in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc. In Economics with specialization in Emerging Markets from Maastricht University. He speaks German and French.
