Alex Beyleveld is an Analyst with the International Trade topic in the Business Ready Unit he joined in August 2024. Prior to his current role, Alex held various positions with an international trade focus, including in an international organization setting with the World Trade Organization, in academia with the Mandela Institute and in private practice with law firm Webber Wentzel. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Law and a Master of International Law and Economics, both from the World Trade Institute, University of Bern. He is also a qualified attorney in his native South Africa and holds Master and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. Alex is fluent in Afrikaans and has good conversational knowledge of German.
