Feature Team Members

Albert Nogués i Comas is a Private Sector Development Specialist and the Topic Lead of the Market Competition team of the Business Ready project, where he designs and implements indicators on competition law, public procurement, intellectual property rights and innovation ecosystems. He joined the team in April 2016. Albert previously led the Contracting with the Government indicator within the Doing Business project, and worked with the Registering Property team. Before joining the World Bank Group, he practiced law for five years as an administrative lawyer in Barcelona, including three years in Garrigues law firm. There, he specialized in Urban Planning, Public Procurement and Competition law. Additionally, Albert spent four months at the European Union Delegation to the United States in Washington DC, focusing on international trade relations. Albert holds an LLM in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam, and a double degree in Law and Economics from the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He is fluent in Catalan, Spanish and French.
