This chapter provides an overview of the financial trends specific to IBRD/IDA and IFC trust funds, FIFs, and externally financed outputs (EFOs) regarding funds held in trust, cash contributions, and disbursements for the years FY2016 to FY2020. It highlights major development partners and programs, as well as some of the many beneficiary countries and sectors that have benefited from trust-funded activities. Also examined are the evolving share on Recipient-executed trust funds (RETF) within overall World Bank disbursements and the evolving share on Bank-executed trust funds (BETF) within the Bank’s overall administrative spending.
