TDLC’s operational support for the urban upgrading & community center regeneration in old Dhaka, Bangladesh, conducted in 2019, was featured in Lion Architect’s web stories. Yohei Shimada, Representative Director of Lion Architects, a firm specialized in neighbourhood regeneration, who took part in this project, exchanged views with Haruka Miki, TDLC Operations Officer, on the World Bank initiatives in developing countries. The interview covered current status of urban infrastructure development in Dhaka, achievements and lessons learned through the operational support, and expectations for future urban development in Dhaka.
