TRACE Features Again on Local Television: New Inspiring Stories of Rural Entrepreneurs

The Tunisian Rural and Agricultural Chains of Employment (TRACE) Trust Fund, which is part of the TERI Umbrella Program 2.0, has been working to create jobs by developing, accelerating, and strengthening businesses and the overall ecosystem of the agri-food sector since 2019. The TRACE Trust Fund is financed by the Netherlands and managed by the World Bank.

Following the successful release of the first four episodes, the popular Tunisian TV show – We are with you (‘Ahna Maak’) – has produced four new episodes showcasing additional TRACE beneficiaries in the governorates of Gabes, Beja, and Kairouan. These new episodes, which you can find below with English subtitles, continue to portray the inspiring stories of rural entrepreneurs who have successfully developed their businesses and are actively creating jobs for their communities.

Episode 5 presents Nawel's distillation of aromatic plants, Mansoor's distillation of medicinal and aromatic plants, Mohsen's first vegetable nursery and Leyla's traditional food products in the Jendouba region.

Episode 6 features Selma's gluten-free carob-based food products, Fethiya's seasoning production, Moufida's agriculture and traditional food production, and the Tahadi cooperative's processing of regional agricultural products in the Kairouan region.

Episode 7 follows Khaled's alfalfa production, Nejma and Ali's ecotourism activity, Jalel's alfalfa production and camel breeding, and Jamila's cattle breeding, cheese and fodder production in the Gabes region.

Episode 8 presents Ahmed and Nadia's mushroom production and sales, Oussama's alternative tourism project and Asma's pomegranate processing in the Beja region.
