World Bank and IDB Join Forces to Maximize Development Impact
The World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) signed a groundbreaking four-year partnership to drive stronger results for people in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Understanding the importance of Amazonia for its people, its countries, and the world, the institutions collaborate to scale its sustainable development and generate a positive impact.
Under the IDB’s umbrella program Amazonia Forever, the organizations will combine their expertise to support countries transitioning to net-zero-deforestation, helping people pursue better livelihoods while preserving the ecosystem—including through innovative financial instruments and boosting bioeconomy.
