Partners in Support of Strengthening Financial Management

The Financial Management Umbrella Program (FMUP) became active in June 2021, thanks to a focused and high-impact partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, the Government of Austria, and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Initial contributions totaled US$16 million.

Two more partners joined in 2022 – the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). With the contributions from these two new partners, the total amount of pledged funding for the FMUP increased to US$39.91 million, helping us to more than double the number of countries we reach.

In 2023, Austria and SECO expanded their commitments and three new partners joined, European Union, the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office and the US Agency for International Development. The total budget is now over $74 million.
