In Phase 1, the CWPF Program Management Team (CWPF Team) administered three calls for Window 1 and 2 proposals and two direct allocations, approved 49 grants, and committed a total of $26.7 million. The World Bank received $22.1 million for 41 successful proposals, and IFC received $4.6 million for eight successful proposals.
The CWPF has supported development activities at the global, regional and country levels across sectors.
Through Window 4, CWPF supports the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) with $25 million towards this G20 Initiative. Established in 2014, GIF provides funding and advisory technical support to governments and multilateral development banks (MDBs) on how to select, design, structure, de-risk and bring to market high-quality, sustainable, and bankable infrastructure programs and projects in emerging markets and developing economies.
