The livestock sector of Uruguay receives visits from Botswana and Namibia

During the last two decades, nations from different parts of the world have visited Uruguay to learn what the country has achieved in sectors such as sustainable livestock and agriculture, climate change, and renewable energy. Recently, authorities from Botswana and Namibia visited the country to understand the secrets of Uruguay's success in food production and exports. With the support of the World Bank, the delegations were able to visit establishments of both small and large producers, exchange ideas with the Minister of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Fernando Mattos, and get a deep dive into cutting-edge research conducted at the prestigious National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA).
