Gender and Multidimensional Poverty in Forced Displacement: Measuring What Matters

Oxford’s Sabina Alkire presents findings on gender and multidimensional poverty in situations of forced displacement across five Sub-Saharan African countries in discussion with Paolo Verme and Carolina Sánchez-Páramo from the World Bank.  This new research underscores the importance of measuring poverty multidimensionally and shed light on the constraints that displaced women face in terms of education, labor market opportunities, and legal rights.
