World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim; White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew say that gender equality is vital to ending extreme poverty since women are important economic factors in households, communities and developing countries. During a round table at the Bank's annual Spring Meetings, they called for a partnership to improve equality throughout the world.
