Climate change is threatening the world’s efforts to feed a growing population. But our food system is also part of the problem, contributing almost a third of global greenhouse gas emissions, averaging around 16 gigatons annually. On the other hand, the agrifood system presents a huge opportunity to mitigate climate change. Solutions are already available and affordable, and every country can play a part.
