The 36th annual World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Federal Reserve System (FRB) Seminar for Senior Bank Supervisors from Emerging Economies is being held from October 30 – November 1, 2024, in Washington, D.C, at the premises of the WB, IMF, and FRB.
The objective of the seminar is provide senior leaders of supervision and regulation functions with an awareness and understanding of current and emerging risks facing the international financial system.
Some key focus areas of the seminar will include:
- Updates from Basel;
- Supervision of credit, liquidity, operational, and interest rate risks in the current environment;
- Dealing with weak banks;
- Supervision of climate-related financial risks; and
- Digitalization in the financial sector
More than 50 participants around the world, including Heads and Directors of supervision and Senior Supervisors are expected to attend this event.
