This page will show live video of the event. Replay video will be posted after the event concludes.

Africa’s working-age population is growing faster than any other region, driven by progress in child survival over the last two decades. Yet, Sub-Saharan Africa invests less in education per capita than the rest of the world.

The 2024 Africa’s Pulse highlights that to achieve universal education by 2030, the region’s education systems must accommodate around 170 million additional children and adolescents. This will require an estimated 9 million new classrooms and 11 million new teachers. The discussion will focus on what it will take for African countries to achieve universal learning, boost labor productivity, and drive inclusive growth.
