The Department of Public Procurement and Competition Policy of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, in collaboration with the World Bank, organizes a series of half-day Virtual Business Outreach Workshops.
They are intended to enable the international business community to participate in opportunities created through Government- and donor-funded projects in Ukraine more effectively. Further, it aims to provide information on the business opportunities in Ukraine’s emergency assistance and reconstruction program.
During this workshop the following information will be presented:
- Brief overview of the World Bank portfolio in Ukraine;
- Information about the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) and the relief projects it supports;
- Procurement rules and procedures of Ukraine and the World Bank;
- Relevant information about the work of IFC and MIGA;
- Tips for preparing acceptable bids and proposals;
- Mechanism for resolving bidders’ complaints;
- Briefing on the Government e-procurement system ”Prozorro” – key upgrading done to facilitate participation of bidders; and
- Challenges to foresee in participation and execution of contracts due to the ongoing war.
International partners and business representatives are also invited to submit their questions ahead of the workshops — via email to Olga Klymenko and Daria Orlenko. This will allow to address any such queries during the seminar and provide more comprehensive answers.
