In the Western world, women are becoming increasingly active in the workforce. However, gender gaps persist across different areas and levels within organizations.
Wenergy – Women in Engineering and Energy – is the first initiative that seeks to reduce gaps in the labor market in the Argentine energy industry. Led by the World Bank, the Argentine Committee of the World Energy Council (CACME) and the Argentine Center of Engineers (CAI), this 2024 program brought together 42 women in the sector from different regions of the country to promote new relationships and strengthen their professional development. The initiative was also supported by the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) of the World Bank and Accenture.
