The 35th annual WB/IMF/FRB Seminar for Senior Bank Supervisors from Emerging Economies was held from October 30 – November 2, 2023, at the Federal Reserve’s building, located at 1825 I (Eye) St, N.W., in Washington, D.C.
The objective of the seminar was to provide senior leaders of supervision and regulation functions with the awareness and understanding of current and emerging risks facing the global economy. Some key focus areas of the seminar were:
- Updates from Basel;
- Supervision of credit, liquidity, and interest rate risks in the current environment;
- Corporate governance and business model analysis;
- Supervision of climate-related financial risk; and
- Digitalization in the financial sector.
More than 70 participants, including Head/Deputy Heads of Supervision, and Senior bank supervisors attended this seminar.
