What are the similarities and differences in the health needs of forcibly displaced populations and host communities? What are the best approaches to identify, prioritize, plan, and deliver health services to both host communities and displaced populations? What are the most cost-efficient ways to finance these health services? These questions and more were highlighted at an event presenting the findings of the Big Questions in Forced Displacement and Health, a global study of health systems in forced displacement contexts.
In the panel discussion, comprised of experts from around the world, discussants examined the policy implications of the study’s findings, with examples from country case studies Bangladesh, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Jordan.
