From April 19 to 23, Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) organized a Technical Deep Dive (TDD) on the theme of “Healthy Cities for All.” This TDD provided a platform for knowledge exchange and structured learning on key topics related to the development of healthy cities, including programs and initiatives implemented at different levels (regional, national, city, and community) to promote more resilient and healthier cities. Case studies and experiences from Japan and other countries were highlighted as well as the experiences of the participating countries.
The TDD provided an opportunity for participants from World Bank client countries to engage in discussions on the following themes:
- How cross-sectoral urban health initiatives can transform cities and benefiting the urban poor and vulnerable groups
- What to tackle: Focusing on health facilities and food markets for healthier communities
- Toward a healthier future: Integrating with nature
