The second annual Digital Disruption in Agriculture forum happening virtually brings together leaders and innovators from across the agriculture value chain to identify digital tools and solutions that can help transform Ethiopia’s, and the region’s, agricultural sector.
Digital technologies in agriculture can lead to greater efficiencies that help countries advance agricultural practices and connect small scale producers to larger markets.
The use of digital technologies in agriculture remains limited in many low-income countries, often because of infrastructure, affordability, awareness, and regulatory issues. The World Bank Group is working to identify promising digital products and services that can be applied to improve agriculture practices and yields, bettering the lives of small scale farmers, and improving countries’ economies.
