Theme: The overarching theme for the VDPF for the period of 2013 – 2015 is “Establishing new partnerships towards competitive, inclusive and sustainable growth”.
Key Features: VDPF is organized once a year event in December, the preparation is coordinated by a secretariat based in Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), with dialogue themes agreed significantly ahead of time. The Forum is co-chaired by MPI and the World Bank in Vietnam. The policy dialogue at technical level begins at least two months ahead of the main event, and the outcomes of such discussions serve as background documents for VDPF. An outcome statement with agreed actions will be issued after the main Forum, with follow up steps.
