Monali Ranade is the World Bank’s Infrastructure Program Leader for Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan. In this position, Ms. Ranade will support strategic dialogue and operational engagements in Energy, Transport, Urban, Resilience and Land sectors. Ms. Ranade has over seventeen years of experience at the World Bank. Prior to this position Ms. Ranade focused on Regional Energy Access program in Eastern and Southern Africa (ASCENT) and has held other positions, including Senior Energy Specialist in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and as Senior Operations Officer in the Climate Change department. Before joining the Bank, Monali worked in Energy and Climate Consulting, with an interest in exploring innovative solutions for public and private sector institutions. Monali has studied Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and Public Policy in India and the UK.
