Economist (Young Professional)

Marina Mavungu Ngoma serves as an Economist (Young Professional) at the World Bank. Her work focuses on economic development, including policies on firms and private sector development, industrialization, regional integration, public finance, and institutions. Before joining the World Bank in the Young Professionals Program, Marina was a Fellow in the World Bank’s Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region. Additionally, she has contributed her skills as a Research Analyst at the Office of the Prime Minister in the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting economic and agricultural development policies. Marina earned her PhD in Economics and Public Policy from Tufts University, a M.A. in Policy Economics from Williams College, a Diploma from Ecole Nationale d’Administration and a B.Sc. in Economics from Université Protestante au Congo.
