Jong Woo Nam is a Senior Financial Officer in the World Bank Treasury’s Capital Markets and Investments Department. He is primarily focused on funding activities for both IBRD and IDA, issuing plain vanilla and structured notes, and executing all derivatives related to funding.
Jong Woo joined the World Bank in 2010 and spent seven years in the Asset & Liability Management team designing and executing risk management strategies for the World Bank’s balance sheet and working with client countries with market based financial solutions.
Prior to joining the Bank, he worked for Deutsche Bank, Woori Bank in derivative sales, and for IBM as a consultant. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Korea University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
