Ghislain Yanou is Senior Financial Officer for the World Bank Treasury. He is part of a team of financial specialists that design and implement financial solutions to help clients: (1) access financing for development by mobilizing World Bank Group resources and private sector financing; (2) mitigate the impact of financial, natural disaster and commodity risks by facilitating access to market-based risk management tools; and (3) strengthen capacity to implement efficient risk management strategies by providing advisory services. Mr. Yanou is leading operation, product policy and new product development.
Before this position, Mr. Yanou was Senior Officer within the Portfolio Analytics group within Treasury, and responsible for Counterparty Credit Risk analytics for IBRD/IDA, and Risk Budgeting activities for the Trust Funds. Mr. Yanou also participated in several initiatives, such as Leveraging Bank Capital, Loan Securitization, Initiative for Forest, Universal Health Coverage. He had led advisory engagements, and workshops for Reserve Advisory Management Program clients. Mr. Yanou also worked supporting activities related to Strategic Asset Allocation and the Equity Management Framework for IBRD.
Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Yanou worked in various positions in the Asset Management industry in France.
