Colleen Keenan is a senior financial officer at the World Bank Treasury. As a member of the investor relations team she is responsible for outreach on the World Bank (International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, IBRD)’s green and sustainability bonds and bonds issued by the International Development Association. Colleen is leading the World Bank’s engagement with investors on impact reporting and disclosure. This includes development of the World Bank’s Sustainable Development Bond framework and inaugural Sustainable Development Bond Impact Report. She also works with the sustainable, socially responsible, and impact investing community and other market stakeholders to promote sustainable capital markets, including as a member of the executive committee Green Bond and Social Bond Principles.
Colleen has 20 years of experience in financial services. She has published several articles on sustainable investing, the World Bank’s experience as an issuer of sustainable debt products, and the use of environmental, social, and governance factors in fixed income investment and frequently speaks at investor conferences on these topics.
Before joining the World Bank, Colleen was at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in New York where she focused on client services and marketing for institutional international equity and global asset allocation products. She holds an M.A. in Economics and International Development from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
