Brian Stacy is serving as a senior economist in the People Chief Economist Office of the World Bank. Brian's main roles are to work on the Human Capital Index (HCI), flagship reports related to human development, and a minimum data package for children, adolescents, and youth. Previously, Brian served as a data scientist with the Indicators and Data Services team at the World Bank’s Development Data Group. He was co-lead of the Statistical Performance Indicators and a contributor to the Atlas of the Sustainable Development Goals as well as the World Development Indicators. He helped lead data work on the Global Education Policy Dashboard project and has worked on the Learning Poverty project in the Education Global Practice. His main research interests include the study of measurement and data gaps, education, labor markets, nutrition, and poverty.
