Senior Economist for Timor-Leste

Amina Coulibaly is an Ivorian national and Senior Economist for Timor-Leste, based in Dili since July 1, 2024. She has extensive expertise in fiscal policy, trade, and institutional development. Previously, she served as Senior Country Economist for Cameroon, leading key initiatives such as the Public Finance Review, Country Economic Memorandum (CEM), and development policy financing (DPF) operations.  

She joined the Bank in 2017 as the local Economist for Cote d’Ivoire. Through the Jan Walliser Fellowship Program, she worked on country economist assignments in MNA while based at HQ.  Prior to that, Amina was the IMF resident Economist for Cote d’Ivoire for five years.  She was also a Mandela Washington Fellow for President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). 

Amina holds two master’s degree in development and international Economics from the Université Félix Houphouet-Boigny.
