Cristina Panasco Santos, a Portuguese national is the World Bank Country Manager for Mauritania. She has more than 18 years of experience in international development. Cristina joined the World Bank in 2006, since then, she has led various positions in this organization and supervised education, health and social protection strategic work in the Africa and South Asia regions for almost a decade.
Cristina has a Ph.D.in physics from the University College London and worked in academia in England for several years. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, her native language.
