Programa Paisagens Sustentáveis ​​da Amazônia

O ASL é um esforço regional de conservação e desenvolvimento sustentável na Amazônia, que visa conectar pessoas e instituições para conectar paisagens bem conservadas e manejadas.

Os projetos nacionais do ASL são liderados pelas autoridades ambientais de cada país amazônico participante e são implementados em parceria por agências públicas e privadas nacionais e internacionais, com o apoio da sociedade civil e de organizações comunitárias.

O Banco Mundial (BM) é a agência líder para o ASL. O Fundo Mundial para a Natureza (WWF), o Programa das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento (PNUD), o Banco de Desenvolvimento da América Latina (CAF), a Organização das Nações Unidas para Alimentação e Agricultura (FAO), a Organização das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento Industrial (UNIDO) e o Fundo Internacional para o Desenvolvimento Agrícola (IFAD) são as agências do Fundo Mundial para o Meio Ambiente (GEF) que apóiam a preparação e implementação de projetos nacionais.

Um projeto de coordenação regional, implementado pelo Banco Mundial, fornece assistência técnica e oportunidades de gestão do conhecimento aos países participantes e parceiros do programa.
