Overview

This workshop brings together global and national stakeholders in monitoring processes for the Cost and Affordability of a Healthy Diet (CoAHD). Participants include national staff active in CoAHD monitoring in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, and Pakistan. Participants will collaborate on strategies to sustain these efforts and expand the monitoring framework to other countries.

 

Objectives

The workshop aims to drive forward discussions on both national and global CoAHD monitoring by focusing on:

  • Current and future national processes for calculation, reporting, and application of CoAHD in partner countries
  • Opportunities for expanding CoAHD to additional countries, leveraging insights from existing experiences
  • Enhancing alignment between national data systems and global monitoring efforts

Structure

The three-day event will combine informative presentations (Day 1), group discussions (Day 2), and technical assistance sessions (Day 3) to promote active engagement.

 

Outcomes

  • A report outlining actionable conclusions from the workshop.
  • New partnership opportunities between national governments and international organizations.
  • Guidance on future directions for national and global monitoring efforts.
