L’assurance indicielle est une approche innovante de l’assurance qui consiste à verser des prestations sur la base d’un indice prédéterminé ou d’une perte d’actifs et d’investissements résultant de phénomènes météorologiques et catastrophiques, sans faire appel aux services traditionnels des experts en sinistres. Elle permet aussi un processus de règlement des sinistres plus rapide et plus objectif. Ce cours vise à donner un aperçu de l’assurance agricole et indicielle, ainsi que de questions connexes telles que les données, la tarification et l’assurance-bétail indicielle. Il est offert en anglais et en français.
