Jordan’s Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project, supported by the World Bank, is driving forward digital transformation and jobs for young people in Jordan. The program is working to foster a competitive and highly skilled Information & Communication Technology sector in Jordan. It is helping to expand digital skills and digital jobs for young people as well as strengthen the digitalization of government services.
Among the program's many goals is supporting 15,000 students to upskill their digital knowledge, creating a digital curriculum for 300,000 students in public schools, establishing several tech hubs in underserved areas, and creating 10,000 income-generation opportunities. As of December 2023, it has helped 2,800 people with income generation opportunities, trained 1,900 people, and supported 62 startups and digital firms.
