Argentina is a world leader in food production. On these productive lands, 1.5 million people struggle to escape from poverty. The Socio-Economic Inclusion in Rural Areas Project (PISEAR), financed by the World Bank, supported investments to improve the lives of 70,000 small producers. The project also promoted the creation of productive alliances to improve access to markets and increase their profitability. The World Bank is a long-term partner for inclusive and sustainable rural development in Argentina.
