This video highlights some of the impacts of increasing social inclusion by empowering women and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in civil works activities in two important Somali cities - Garowe and Baidoa. These activities are being supported under the Somalia Urban Resilience Project II, also known as the Nagaad Project (meaning “prosperous settlement” in Somali), through the Federal Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Reconstruction. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of municipal governments in Somalia to deliver resilient infrastructure and improve urban service delivery in six cities."
