With the depletion of Gaza’s coastal aquifer, the decrease in rainwater, and the doubling of the population over the last 20 years, only 1% of Gaza population has access to safe drinking water. This video illustrates the challenges for safe water for the people of Gaza. It also explains the World Bank‘s water program to help address these challenges, through innovative solutions to respond to the drinking water crisis in Gaza, as well as through water reuse and recycling. The World Bank’s efforts are supported by development partners through the Palestinian Partnership for Infrastructure Multi-Donor Trust Fund.
