In celebration of 30 years of partnership with Georgia, we reflect in this video on the key projects the World Bank has implemented in the country. The World Bank was the first international financial institution to support Georgia’s East-West Highway—a project of regional importance which began construction in 2006 to make portions of the existing roadway into a two-lane highway meeting international highway standards. Since then, the project has garnered support from several other international partners and organizations and has been dubbed as Georgia’s “Project of the Century.” With more than $1 billion invested in Georgia’s infrastructure over the three decades of partnership, join our colleagues in Tbilisi as they showcase our work’s impact!
