Climate change is one of the greatest global challenges of our time. Around the world, cities, countries, and regions have committed to ambitious climate targets, with Japan being no exception and committing to achieving net carbon neutrality by 2050. Against this background, the World Bank Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC), in collaboration with the Smart City Institute Japan (SCI-J) organized a multidisciplinary expert discussion on the pathways to find, pilot, and scale up low-carbon solutions. This session convened top level experts and thought leaders in Japan from various fields and expertise to engage in an open discussion on solutions and trajectories toward a low carbon and resilient future of our cities.
