Cholpon Kasymalieva is a family physician in the Kyrgyz Republic. She is one of thousands of medical workers in her country who have been on the frontline battling COVID-19 since the first days of the pandemic. On International Women’s Day 2021, we celebrate Cholpon and other women around Central Asia and beyond.
