The IDA-Korea Workshop on Innovation and Digital Technology in a Post-Pandemic World took place in Seoul, Korea on Thursday, November 5, 2020 (November 4 in Washington, D.C.). Jointly organized by the World Bank and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, the workshop provided a platform to discuss the promise and challenges of the digital economy for developing countries and the importance of international partnerships on technology in the post-COVID-19 era. The workshop was timely since the Korean government recently launched the “Korean New Deal,” a post COVID-19 national strategy to support the transition to a more digital, green, and sustainable country. The World Bank Group Korea Office’s Innovative and Technology Hub will be working closely with Korean partners to provide innovative and technology-based solutions for sustainable development.
