The newly released Afghanistan Development Update report finds that Afghanistan’s economy has been hit hard by #COVID_19 pandemic. The report finds the country's economy is set to contract by between 5.5 percent and 7.4 percent in 2020 because of COVID-19, exacerbating poverty, and leading to a sharp decline in government revenues.
